To configure an e-mail client for IMAP protocol, you will need the
following information:
Server Type: IMAP
Incoming Server: mail.unwiredwest.com
Outgoing Server: mail.unwiredwest.com
User Name or Account Name: Your FULL E-MAIL ADDRESS
Password: Your e-mail password
NOTE: If your email address is associated with your own domain, then substitute your server names for mail.unwiredwest.com. For example, if your domain name is SHINYWHEELS.COM, then your incoming and outgoing mail server will be MAIL.SHINYWHEELS.COM.
Note: The outgoing server needs to be authenticated with user name and password.
1. When you open Mail
for the first time, you will be prompted to configure it to retrieve your
e-mail.
2. You will be prompted for some general information about your e-mail.
* Enter your full name in the "Full Name" field.
* Enter your e-mail address in the "Email Address" field.
* Enter the password for your account in the "Password" field.

3. You will be prompted for information regarding the retrieval of new mail.
* Select "IMAP" as your "Account Type."
* Enter whatever you would like to for "Description."
* Enter "mail.unwiredwest.com" in the "Incoming Mail Server" field.
* Enter your full email address in the "User Name" field.
* Enter the password associated with your account in the "Password" field.

4. The use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is recommended when available.

5. You will be prompted for information regarding the sending of outbound mail.
* Enter "mail.unwiredwest.com" in the "Outgoing Mail Server" field.
* Check the box labeled "Use Authentiation."
* Enter your full email address in the "User Name" field.
* Enter the password associated with your account in the "Password" field.

6. Again, the use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is recommended when available.

7. You will be prompted to confirm your mail server settings. Please double-check the following values:
* Incoming Mail Server should display "mail.unwiredwest.com" with SSL on.
* Outgoing Mail Server should display "mail.unwiredwest.com" with SSL on.
